Decision Desk HQ, the leading provider of election results and Inside Elections with Nathan Gonzales, which provides nonpartisan analysis of campaigns for Senate, House, and governor, are excited to announce they are partnering to provide live, online analysis of the August 23rd elections in Florida, New York, and Oklahoma, as well as on election night, November 8th.
The stream will originate in Washington, D.C. and feature members of the Inside Election team and leading congressional reporters who will track and discuss the night’s races through Decision Desk HQ results and race calls.
“Our idea is to provide a different kind of election night experience for our audience. We won’t have talking heads with prepared talking points but genuine election experts discussing the returns and sharing their insights in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Election enthusiasts will have a chance to be a fly on the wall as these experts breakdown the night’s returns and what they mean for November.” - Drew McCoy, President of Decision Desk HQ.
“I’m really looking forward to these two nights. We’ve all seen typical election night coverage, but this will intentionally look and feel different. It will be fun to watch the results come in with friends and experts who have been covering these races closely for the entire cycle, and give viewers a window into the conversation that usually happens off-camera. Spoiler alert: It’s not always about elections. It will also be an opportunity to interact with viewers via comments and tweets as we all wait for the votes to be counted.” - Nathan Gonzales, Editor and Publisher of Inside Elections.
The Tuesday August 23rd’s stream will start at 6:50pm, ten minutes before polls close in the majority of Florida covered by the eastern time zone.
Voxtopica will provide production services.
